  • 1 kg pounds beef chuck pot roast
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 250 gms carrots – diced 
  • 250 gms celery – diced
  • 1 whople white onion – quartered
  • 150 gms butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (optional)
